Everything booked, attended and cancelled sits under Sessions in your account.
The three tabs
Times are shown in your local timezone, and the page says which one it’s using.
Joining an online session
The Join button appears on a session when it’s close enough to start. The room opens ten minutes early, and the link is the same every time — the one in your confirmation email works too.
Inside, you have your microphone, camera, screen share, a way to raise your hand, and side panels for chat and notes.
Nothing is recorded unless you and your therapist both agree to it in the room.
Cancellation terms per therapist
Below your session list, you’ll see one policy panel for each therapist you have something booked with. If you’re seeing two therapists, you’re under two sets of terms, and both are shown.
See Cancellations and refunds for what each one means in money.
Rescheduling
There’s no reschedule button yet. To move a session, cancel it and book the new time.
Cancelling inside the therapist’s notice window may charge a fee even if you rebook straight away.
If you’re outside the window you can cancel free and rebook at no cost. Check the terms on your
session before you cancel.
If you’re inside the window, message the therapist first — they can cancel from their side, and a therapist’s own cancellation never carries a fee.
Sessions you don’t recognise
Your card statement shows the therapist’s practice name, not Open Therapy, because they’re the merchant of record. If a line looks unfamiliar, check your receipts under Invoices and receipts before disputing it with your bank.
Exporting
Export on the sessions page gives you your session history. Export my record in settings gives you everything.
